Description/Job Summary

The Staff Attorney Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Staff Attorney Management with varied aspects Staff Attorney management which includes, monitoring and coordinating Staff Attorney activities, analyzing various performance metrics, including efficiency, cost of services & quality. The Coordinator will also assist with the recruitment, onboarding and retention of Staff Attorneys.


  • Monitor Staff Attorney activity and hours and draft reports on current and upcoming staffing needs/availability
  • Review eDiscovery vendor reports regarding pace of review and reviewer performance; reconcile reports with diary entries
  • Monitor day off tracking department-wide
  • Liaise with Conflicts & Legal Ethics department regarding proposed assignments and potential conflicts
  • Coordinate collection and indexing of document review protocols, privilege log models and similar work product
  • Assist with Staff Attorney recruiting, including coordination of interviews, onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain numerous databases and applications regarding personnel data, staffing requests and assignments
  • Draft periodic reports of Staff Attorney utilization and performance
  • Assist with the development and coordination of training programs and initiatives
  • Reconcile InTapp and Rollcall data periodically and at year end
  • Coordinate periodic performance reviews
  • Conduct various reporting on behalf of Staff Attorney Management
  • In collaboration with the Associate Director, firm administration and practice groups, address various requests for information
  • Collect data and information for compensation analysis
  • Perform administrative duties related to Staff Attorney programs and assist with special projects
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Required Skills

  • 3 to 5 years in a law firm or professional services firm
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong research and analytical skills
  • Must be client-service focused and able to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm
  • Strong project management skills, initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to begin to leverage institutional knowledge in own work
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
