The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for assisting with full lifecycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual and intern personnel.
Responsibilities/Duties
Partner with hiring managers and senior recruiter to determine administrative staffing needs, assess hiring criteria, testing, interview process and timelines
Work with senior recruiter and manager to possess a strong understanding of all recruiting functions, including job descriptions and specification, sourcing, interview scheduling, and testing of candidates
Manage internal and external job postings insuring all vacancies are accompanied by an approved requisition
Prescreen and test candidates, schedule and coordinate interviews, conduct reference and background checks, and prepare offer letters
Communicate with department managers and HR recruitment team to ensure preparedness for interviews and follow up with any questions with appropriate level of management
Maintain existing sourcing resources and implement new strategies to build a pipeline of available candidates in anticipation of hiring needs
Utilize applicant tracking system to source and identify qualified candidates
Answer inquires, assist with documents, correspondence, spreadsheets and reports as needed
Support firm-wide Human Resources and Diversity initiatives
Stay current on the firm’s and HR department’s policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practices
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
1 to 2 years of corporate experience required
Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Web applications
Strong attention to detail
Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience with file maintenance and recordkeeping
Preferred Skills
1 to 2 years of experience in HR and/or recruiting and hiring exempt and non-exempt positions in disciplines such as IT, finance/accounting, office services, and/or secretarial
Familiarity with HR concepts and practices related to identifying, attracting and selecting candidates
Experience sourcing candidates via internet, networking, employee referrals and job postings
