Description/Job Summary

The Content Strategy Manager will focus on ensuring that the Firm’s intranet has clear, concise and well-governed content. The Content Strategy Manager will support the Knowledge Management resources team by serving as editor-in-chief of the intranet creating original content and working with content owners and stakeholders across the firm to create content for their respective sites and pages on the intranet. The Content Strategy Manager will work with the Knowledge Department leadership team to promote knowledge and innovation initiatives across the firm including writing targeted communications such as department reports, executive messages, and department success stories.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Create high-value materials for the Knowledge Department to ensure a consistent voice and quality product, including CKIO communications; annual and quarterly reports; department presentations, newsletters and other department messaging; materials for product launches, trainings and marketing and adoption campaigns
  • Propose and create content that can be developed into bylined articles by Firm leadership to raise awareness of the department’s role as innovators within the Firm
  • Ensure that Firm leadership communicates regularly with their audiences through the intranet
  • Recommend content, both written and multimedia, that can help with engagement efforts with the Sounding Board and the Firm, as well as within the Knowledge Department
  • Work with the Knowledge Management resources team to identify opportunities to use the intranet to help support Knowledge Department and Firm initiatives
  • Manage a calendar of department milestones and events, to make sure our  communications reflect key achievements in a sustained, systematic way
  • Develop and maintain a style guide for Knowledge Department communications
  • Help the Knowledge Department build a robust presence on the intranet, ensuring that the Knowledge Department  is a model for others
  • Write tips, feature stories, training guides and other intranet-related communications
  • Identify content issues and good examples of intranet content to promote
  • Identify and recommend improvements to content and format, work with the Knowledge Management resources team to implement improvements
  • Support production of training and promotional videos
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Minimum of five to seven years of communications, journalism or PR/marketing experience
  • Superior writing and editing skills on a variety of platforms, including written communications, video/podcast copy and PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong attention to detail  with the ability to generate  high quality work product in a fast-paced
  • Excellent listening skills, with the ability to absorb information and translate it into persuasive, relevant, benefit-oriented messaging
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to foster relationships with people at all levels within the Firm
  • Proactive ability to pitch topics, draft articles and self-start initiatives
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and intranets
  • Strong technical skills and aptitude

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree is required; preferred field in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
