The Trainer is responsible for identifying the training needs of staff across the Firm, and for developing, delivering, and administer training classes to address those needs.
Responsibilities/Duties
Conduct in-person and remote training classes and/or workshops for newly-hired and existing personnel in all offices
Conduct subject-based training demos and workshops
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees or consultation with managers
Develop training material, documentation, quick tips and/or best practice guides
Create ‘How To” training videos and FAQ’s as required
Research and test Firm approved software for desktop and/or mobile devices as required
Provide technical support and troubleshoot calls as needed
Assist with distribution of Firm communications
Attend weekly and/or monthly meetings
Provide training and floor support for firm wide software deployments on an as needed basis
Participate in Legal User Group meetings and attend annual Legal Tech Conferences and Exhibitions
Obtain and maintain relevant software certifications
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
2 to 4 years of training experience required
Can create, organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
Knowledge of methods for curriculum and training design
Proficiency in latest version of MS Office Suite, e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel
Knowledge of Document Management Systems (DMS), e.g., FileSite/iManage
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, team environment
Must be flexible and willing to work additional hours as needed
Preferred Skills
Ability to present training concepts and material before audience of professional or technical personnel preferred
Knowledge of Publisher, PDF software, e.g., Nuance (Kofax) and Adobe Pro, video creating software e.g., Camtasia and Snagit, collaboration software e.g., MS Teams, audio and video software e.g., Zoom preferred
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree or 2 years college courses required
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office Applications Specialist Certification preferred
