Job Title: IT Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist evaluates software to insure that each phase of the software development life cycle delivers quality outputs, so that the final product meets user requirements for function, performance and reliability, and so that the final product conforms to firm guidelines and standards.
Develop and maintain test plans and test cases to insure software quality in accordance with quality standards for each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle
Participate in product design reviews and review documents to evaluate the quality of functional requirements
Work with the business stakeholders and technical staff to establish software delivery acceptance criteria and defect severity classifications
Define and ensure testing environment will support testing requirements
Build a library of reusable testing tools for functional testing, database testing, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, load testing, and integration testing for product specific quality assurance
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Document requirements and software defects.
Work with business users, technical staff, third-party providers, developers, and others as required, for quality assurance
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in QA
Must possess proven analytical ability and high-level technical background
Highly developed analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and complete project tasks within required deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate information verbally and in writing and present information to individuals or groups
Ability to be sensitive to cultural differences among individuals and groups of persons
Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, highly technical environment managing large scale IT projects across global IT environments
Law firm experience highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field required
