The Hardware Specialist is responsible for conference room setups and breakdowns, PC installs, moves and repairs.
Set up and configure desktops, telephone and wire management and peripherals for all new employees, including installing, diagnosing, repairing and upgrading all hardware and equipment to ensure an optimal workstation
Perform user equipment relocations to new offices; back-up/restore processes of local files and applications from one PC to another
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, replace parts, such as memory, hard drives, system boards, fans as needed; accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal
Identify and escalate hardware issues; coordinate with vendors to repair PCs, telephone and printer equipment
Image or re-image PCs with Firm’s standard desktop image; support IT needs for clients and other unique requests such as V-lan setups, Web Conferencing and new technologies
Work with 2nd and 3rd level support diagnosing and troubleshooting escalated issues
Act as point of contact during Manager’s absence
Liaise with Conference Services to set up and break down conference room equipment in accordance with department guidelines and user specifications
Travel required as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
3 to 5 years of relevant experience required
Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to work under pressure and meet and exceed deadlines
Basic computer skills in software imaging, TCP/IP networking technologies, Windows 10, Lenovo and Dell desktops and laptops, Mac, and SIP Phone Technology
