Description/Job Summary

The Financial Accruals Coordinator is responsible for gathering and reporting on client and/or matter accruals and maintaining matter budgets, to facilitate billing to clients.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Facilitate the accrual process by liaising with Partners, the billing department, and client contacts as appropriate
  • Prepare and distribute accrual and matter budget reports for Partners and clients
  • Process a large volume of requests and maintain an orderly schedule of pending items
  • Work with various billing software packages including Thomson Reuters 3E, eBilling systems, SSRS report writer, and other related software
  • Provide breakdowns and backup documentation of accruals and accounts receivables for Partners and clients
  • Prepare ad hoc billing analysis and reports as requested by management
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing        
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and good general office computer skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Ability to adapt to all work situations in order to achieve desired results
  • Ability to use discretion with sensitive and confidential information

Preferred Experience

Experience with 3E or other legal billing systems

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Education

Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
