Description/Job Summary

The Microsoft 365 Analyst will provide expert technical support to cloud-based solutions such as Office 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Planner, Power Apps and Power Automate.  Assist with migration efforts from on-Premise to Office 365.  Help develop Office 365 governance documentation. Prepare Office 365 end-user documentation. Utilize the above-mentioned platforms and services to assist in the creation, deployment and maintenance of custom developed solutions for Practice Groups and Business Units within the Firm.  Contribute to the formulation of technical standards and guidelines. Identify issues, problem resolution and make technical recommendations. Support access and utilization of Microsoft 365 solutions from mobile devices in a Bring Your Own Device environment. The Microsoft 365 Analyst will work closely with the IT Department to fulfil their responsibilities. 

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Play an active role in the provisioning of Teams sites
  • Implement and maintain Teams templates
  • Provide end-user Teams support
  • Serve as a resource to manage internal and external Teams users access levels
  • Support Teams/iManage document synchronization solution
  • Collaborate with the Knowledge Department’s Intranet team on related initiates to troubleshoot functional and technical issues
  • Collaborate with Firm’s IT to ensure Microsoft 365 integration with third-party applications, compliance with Firm policies and best practices
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, tools and best practices related to M365
  • Work as 2nd level support to answer end-user tickets regarding M365
  • Perform product testing and integration testing
  • Identify security risks to our M365 environment and services and suggest mitigation solutions with the digital cyber security team
  • Administer Core eDiscovery or Advanced eDiscovery in M365 
  • Develop and promote standard operations documentation such Knowledge Base Articles and user documentation
  • Support special projects and perform other work duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact diplomatically with all levels of firm personnel
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to define solutions to support and improve those processes

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of content management, workflow, custom enhancements and complex SharePoint solutions is preferable

Required Experience

  • A minimum of three years Microsoft 365 experience
  • Familiarity with Azure AD and M365 Admin center tasks including but not limited to license management, user account registration
  • Solid understanding of compliance and security around M365 to implement best practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Viva
  • Knowledge of SharePoint supported web development programming languages including TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS, AJAX, ASP.NET, HTML, JSON, XML or jQuery is desirable
  • Experience using .NET, SQL, Azure, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting

Preferred Experience

  • Law firm experience desirable

Required Education

  •  Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required
