The HR Product Manager will provide functional leadership and lead all phases of the application development life cycle for Human Capital Management / Benefits Products and Payroll systems and provide strategic direction in support of all HR IT applications, including the Firm’s Workday implementation.
The right candidate will be extremely proficient in both the architectural aspects of business systems, as well as functional best practices for the teams they support. A skilled mentor and leader, this person will work closely with their team as well as business partners, including Chief Human Resource Officer, HR Directors and Senior Managers, process excellence teams, and other cross-functional leaders, to deliver and support, on time and within budget, a portfolio of products throughout the products life cycle. This role is an integral part of the Corporate IT Team and will be reporting to the Head of Business Applications in IT.
Lead a team of developers, analysts, consultant & vendors to deliver business results that scale
Own and be responsible for Workday data integrations, including ADP payroll, benefit providers, and internal applications
Partner with HR & Benefits and Payroll Business Process owners, develop roadmap, provide status of initiatives and project in flight on a weekly basis and be the single point of contact from IT for all application and project needs originating from the Human Resource and Benefits stakeholders
Interface with business stakeholders to understand the scope and requirements. Act as the liaison with business managers, business users and IT execution team. Support definition of use cases, scenarios etc.
Identify, design & drive strategic system enhancements and process improvement projects that serve Simpson’s global human capital management operations
Develop, design, test and manage operational processes related to business requirements
Partner and drive alignment with various cross functional leaders on enterprise-wide projects and initiatives related to human capital management information.
Serve as a point of escalation for any project issues, identify roadblocks, develop mitigation plan and timely communicate project status to stakeholders
Support the business group on day-to-day operations and month/quarter-end close
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to define solutions to support and improve those processes
Excellent verbal & written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Must be business & technology savvy
12+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining HR Solutions integrations, custom reporting, Workday EIBs
3+ Years Workday experience
Experience with UltiPro / Oracle / SAP a plus
Hands on experience with requirements gathering and solution design. Past experience in configurations, testing, post-production support and documentation is a must.
Management of IT Vendors, Licenses, Budget, Project (Waterfall & Agile)
Law firm experience desirable
Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Management required
