Description/Job Summary

The Messaging Specialist provides internal IT support for email client related issues. The candidate will be providing Level 2 support for Outlook configuration, mobile devices connected to the Firms mobile device management systems as well as troubleshooting SMTP issues between STB and its clients. The candidate will also create and document issue resolution documentation to be shared with the support desk. This position is part of the Mail Admin group and the candidate will interact with all teams in the IT Department.


  • Troubleshoot issues with Outlook and connected applications
  • Assist in setting up mobile devices (iOS and Android) on MobileIron and Intune
  • Investigate mobile device issues including enrollment in the MDM’s , app installation and functionality of installed applications
  • Provide offboarding services such as exporting email and contact data to PST’s
  • Perform administrative functions such as creating shared mailboxes and managing group memberships
  • Assist the litigation team with litigation requests
  • Work with other technology teams on meeting their project goals, when required
  • Maintain and manage SMTP gateways
  • Enforce policies and follow best practices relating to email retention and security
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Outlook 2016\2019 and O365
  • Experience with setting up iOS and Android devices on MDM’s, preferably MobileIron and Intune
  • Knowledge of SMTP and the role of email gateways
  • Eager and enthusiastic learner
  • Ability to troubleshoot mail routing issues
  • Organized and comfortable working under pressure and against tight deadlines

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working in a law firm environment is preferred


Salary Information

The estimated base salary range for this position is $80k to $90k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
