Description/Job Summary

The HRIS Benefits Analyst will focus on Benefits Administration , Human Resources Information System (HRIS) requests, data maintenance, analysis and report writing.  Key to this role's success is the knowledge and ability to act as the subject matter expert in both Benefits and HRIS systems to meet business needs. This role will report to the Benefits Analytics Manager, and will work closely with Benefits, Payroll, Human Resources and the IT departments.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide day-to-day support for Benefits data/systems and serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain a HRIS, Payroll and benefit vendors reporting schedule, develop standard and custom reports and extract data across systems for the benefits/HR team
  • Maintain and monitor benefits system administration, including data entry, maintenance and updating all benefits system configurable fields, rate tables and features including benefits deductions, benefit codes, and other benefit fields
  • Create and maintain documentation for system processes and workflows
  • Ensure complex inter-dependencies between internal and external systems (carrier feeds, imports, exports) are maintained to include but not limited to Benefits third-party vendors and TPAs
  • Participate in testing HRIS functions, for Annual Open Enrollment and various benefits processes
  • Support the preparation of benefit statements for various groups
  • Use benefits knowledge to assist with the implementation of new benefit programs including setup and configuration of plans and data feeds
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of benefit information entered into systems through troubleshooting, routine data/system audits, analyzing and updating data where appropriate
  • Make recommendations for benefits projects and process improvements
  • Support new HCM projects, conversions, initiatives as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of HRIS or benefits experience required
  • Previous knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (i.e.,UltiPro, Workday, ADP)
  • Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities in a high pressure environment
  • Previous experience in benefits systems and working with benefit plans
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel to include database implementation, database import/export, macros, vlookups, and pivot tables
  • Exceptional analytic abilities and attention to detail
  • Client-focused with the ability to provide customer service in a professional manner
  • Ability to Develop workflow systems to accompany programs
  • Familiarity with major benefit laws and regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and Heath Care Reform

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of benefits/HRIS experience required

Salary Information

The estimated base salary range for this position is $95k to $110k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
