The Manager/Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting & Associate Life will be responsible for all Legal Recruiting (both lateral and campus hires) and Associate Life (supporting the orientation and integration processes for new Associates). This individual will also partner closely with the global HR team on firm-wide HR initiatives (e.g., talent assessment, learning and development, wellness). The Manager/Senior Manager will be reporting to the Director of Administration - Los Angeles.
Responsibilities/Duties
Lead the attorney recruitment process (both lateral attorney and campus recruitment) for the Los Angeles office, including input into the development of recruiting strategy and goals, providing program innovation, and handling the day-to-day tasks associated with legal recruiting.
Assist in ensuring the Firm’s marketing materials align with overall recruiting strategy, including promotional and educational pieces, industry surveys, website, etc.
Handle the in-office interview process, candidate communications, and database management; oversee candidate scheduling activities
Facilitate career services and law school relationship building and engagement; promote the Firm’s presence on campuses.
Manage summer associate work assignments, evaluation, and review process, including providing direction to associate assignors, directing summer associates on usage of the tracking database, and compiling performance review materials for partners.
Support the orientation and integration processes for new Associates and the coordination of formal mentoring assignments for all incoming Associates and laterals.
Develop and coordinate events for Associates to foster morale, collegiality, and teamwork, including working in conjunction with the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion team and the Los Angeles office affinity groups.
Develop, plan, and execute a variety of summer associate program social events.
Manage associate work assignments and out of office requests to assure adequate staffing is available at all times.
Assist the Corporate Training Manager and CLE Compliance Specialist with training and CLE efforts for attorneys in the Los Angeles office.
Serve as an advisor and liaison between associates and partners; direct attorneys to resources within the Firm to help resolve concerns or problems and coordinate available resources to help find solutions.
Oversight and maintenance of the Los Angeles office’s mentoring programs.
Assist with exit interviews for departing associates.
Required Skills
A minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience in a professional services firm or comparable environment
Strong business and financial acumen

Details
The estimated base salary range for this position is $150k to $180k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
