The SQL DBA is responsible for developing and maintaining custom applications, performing conversions of existing applications, and interfacing with users to ascertain requirements for modifications.
Responsibilities/Duties
Develop new on-prem and cloud-based web applications per business requirements
Analyze and understand application and system requirements
Design and create database E-R diagrams, program overall logic and essential program classes
Lead and provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing projects
Develop system and user requirements for new business applications
Design and develop user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by determining design methodologies, completing programming languages and software products; designing and conducting tests
Create and maintain SQL databases used in application development; create/modify tables/views/stored procedures, maintain user security, perform backup/restore databases, and perform import/export data
Design and create web forms, setup IIS server for web application such as application pool, virtual directory, local users/groups
Analyze, trace and correct problems in the application.; communicate with the user to acquire in depth information regarding the problem when necessary
Follow the STB application development standard and use Microsoft.NET, SQL Server, Chrome and other software on Microsoft Windows operating system to perform all of the above tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Experience as a SQL Developer or DBA
Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
Familiarity with the practical application of NoSQL\NewSQL databases
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

Available for Out of hours support when required as systems are required 24/7
Preferred Skills
Experience in working with an application development team using full development life cycle preferred

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
Details
The estimated base salary range for this position is $150k to $170k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
