The Payroll Assistant is responsible for inputting timesheets and updating payroll records for legal and non-legal staff in the US as well as expatriates.
Responsibilities/Duties
Process payroll journal entries from ADP GL to financial system
Send payroll registers to Branch managers
Providing information to HR for employment verification documents
Process new hires and terminations in payroll system
Download payroll reports, distributing and file electronicall
Calculate and enter increases, leave of absences (LOA) and termination payments in payroll system
Maintain employee files electronically
Process employee information changes, including name, address, W-4, direct deposit, disability and benefit changes, on a per payroll basis
Calculate vacation pay due to departing employees
Process ADP invoices
Communicate with employees and managers on inquiries and discrepancie
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
2 to 4 years of payroll experience with 2 years of computerized payroll processing experience required
Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
Proficiency in MS Excel
Strong attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
Ability to work remotely on an as needed basis
Preferred Skills
Experience using Payforce/Vantage preferred
Proficiency in MS Word preferred
Required Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Preferred Education
Associate's degree or 2 years college courses preferred

Salary Information
The estimated base salary range for this position is $60k to $70k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning that it is overtime pay eligible.
