The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that QA activities across IT are managed, planned, resourced & executed. In general the individual will be responsible for recognizing and understanding the QA needs of the Organization and managing resources to satisfactorily meet that demand. The individual will ensure that a coordinated and organized process for assuring the quality of IT projects / products / initiatives is adhered to. The QA Manager will be responsible for managing the engagement with an external QA service and it’s consultants. Where required the QA Manager will be expected to take responsibility for testing activates across some initiatives. The individual will work with IT and other stakeholders (Internal and External) to build out Tests Plan and associated test items, defining the success criteria for each test suite, allocating QA resources to execute those tests and for reporting on that success to dedicated points of contact within the business and IT.
Responsibilities/Duties
Analyze, develop and refine QA testing standards, processes and tools across IT
Manage external QA consultants to ensure they are allocated to, and meeting the demand of, ongoing initiatives
Develop Testing Strategies
Develop Test Plans for IT Initiatives (3rd party or custom developed)
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives in parallel
Work closely with other IT teams including infrastructure, product and development teams to support demand, execution and releases
Work closely with external solution vendors to ensure that testing activities are prioritized, planned and executed
Log, monitor, track and report on issues and defects
Define and report on success metrics
Required Skills
Candidate must be a self-starter and have excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of technical and non-technical subject matter experts.
Ability to work across a variety of concurrent initiatives
Experience in Legal Technology beneficial but not required
Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of technical solutions
Possesses experience working in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environment
Required Experience
6+ years’ experience supporting software implementations, with specific experience in a hands-on QA role
1 – 2 years’ minimum experience in managing or supervising QA teams
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Education
QA certification beneficial but not required

Salary Information
The estimated base salary range for this position is $145k to $165k at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
