Description/Job Summary

The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for supporting the internal operations of the Firm’s complete audio visual systems.


  • Setup all audio visual needs as coordinated through our Conference Service team to meet cleint requirements
  • Initiate audio and video conference calls, utilizing TMS and our multi-bridge infrastructure, dial audio bridge providers as requested
  • Establish data sharing as per client needs either via content sharing or web based platforms, Webex, Loopup, Zoom
  • Set up and operate video encoding hardware and software
  • Edit audio and video files
  • Set up, properly align and configure projection equipment for PCs
  • Operate and troubleshoot all functions of multi-media equipped conference rooms
  • Capture web-based media
  • Perform routine A/V maintenance, i.e. lamp replacements, system-wide testing
  • Maximize the use of remote management tools to provide additional support
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level troubleshooting
  • Coordinate with vendors in identifying and resolving A/V system problems
  • Act as the point of contact during Manager’s absence
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work additional hours as assigned

Required Skills

  • 3 plus years of experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco Videoconference Infrastructure and endpoints including VCS, TMS, MCU
  • Basic knowledge of Avid Pro Tools Audio Suite
  • Must be a self starter
  • Motivated individual
  • Basic Knowledge of Sony Vegas NLE or similar
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Crestron Controllers and Fusion RV Software
  • Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Knowledge of AV equipment, remote management tools, legacy networks web-based media
  • Ability to resolve systems problems, escalating according to Department guidelines, and offer viable alternatives to solve system failures

Preferred Skills

  • 2 years of electrical, electronic or audio visual maintenance and repair work experience
  • General CTS certification is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or 2 years college coursework, trade or vocational school preferred
  • Certified Technical Specialist Preferred
