Description/Job Summary

The Duplicating Operator is responsible for providing document management services to include digital copying, printing, scanning, and binding equipment.


  • Copy paper documents of various sizes and colors
  • Process and manipulate electronic files
  • Scan paper documents into electronic files
  • Print hard copy paper documents from electronic files
  • Bind books or reports from hard copy productions (i.e. Velo, Spiral, Wire, Acco and 3-ring)
  • Number physical documents or electronic files
  • Create labels for use with titling various forms of binding, folders or redwelds
  • Create fully customizable tabs
  • Copy, scan and print large maps or blue prints
  • Create miniature versions of standard size books or documents
  • Quality check work for accuracy to uphold the standards of service and best practices set forth by the department
  • Input billing information from completed job tickets into billing capture system
  • Shred paper documentation that has been deemed waste or non-usable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience required
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Professional
  • Knowledge of PCs, copying, scanning and binding equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Strong initiative with the willingness and ability to learn new skills or methods required in reproduction industry

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of IPRO preferred
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Pro software preferred

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
