The Research & Intelligence Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and directing the analyst team on a day-to-day basis; supporting them with mentoring and training as needed.
Additional responsibilities include the development and creation of training, acting as a Practice Group liaison, coordinating large research projects, the evaluation of new products, and supporting the Research & Intelligence Research Manager with department initiatives.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of the Research & Intelligence Analysts to ensure delivery of high-quality research
Serves as the department’s lead research and subject matter expert and performs quality control and oversight of work product to ensure consistency and timeliness of service delivery
Provides guidance and direction on research strategies, as needed
Partners with the Research & Intelligence Services Manager to serve as a liaison to Practice Groups and other designated staff departments to offer targeted research, training, and support
Coordinates and manages large research projects from start to finish
Actively promotes the value of the Research & Intelligence Analysts to internal stakeholders and end-users
Stays current on news and trends relating to key clients and their markets and proactively distributes findings
Participates in the development of in-depth research training materials for both live and on-demand trainings
Collaborates with Practice Group leadership to ensure group research needs are met and assists in the development and design of Practice Group pages
Supports the Research & Intelligence Manager with department initiatives, as assigned
Participates in rotating weekend coverage
Assists the department Operations Manager with product testing, evaluation, and ultimately the selection of needed tools and/or cancellation of existing ones, as assigned
Recognizes the value of professional networking and actively participate in professional associations and online communities
Other duties as assigned
A minimum of five (5) years of legal and/or business research experience in a legal or corporate environment
Deep knowledge of legal and corporate research resources and their application
Ability to effectively present information both verbally and in writing
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to scheduling changes and shifts in priorities
Ability to identify complex problems, make decisions and implement effective solutions
Ability to work independently, determine priorities and coordinate workflow effectively
Strong interpersonal skills with a client focus
Process-oriented with great attention to detail and technical acuity
Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail, and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library Science or MBA
